In response to the Great Commission of Jesus, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19-20), the mission of the Outreach Team is to facilitate the turning of the lost people of our community and world into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This team manages and coordinates the outreach ministry of the church including greeting ministry, visitor follow-up, outreach events, focus on missions, MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) Sale involvement, World Wide Market, Crop Walk, MDS (Mennonite Disaster Services), etc. |

In response to the declaration that Jesus Christ "is the image of the invisible God... all things were created by him and for him; and he is the head of the body, the church... so that in everything he might have the supremacy." (Colossians 1:15-18), the mission of the Worship Team is to assist people, both corporately and individually and publicly and privately, to center their affections and lives on Jesus. This team manages and coordinates the worship ministry of our church including tasks such as the following; worship planning, special seasons (Thanksgiving, Advent, Easter, Pentecost, etc.) and devotional helps. |

Because of the exhortation that "everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way" (I Corinthians 14:10); the mission of the Administrative Team is to provide guidance in all financial, property, legal, personnel, and procedural issues involving this Church. This team manages and coordinates church finances, property and equipment, custodial services, budget preparation, church staff, payroll, convention delegates, etc. |
|
In response to the need of sharing pastoral oversight of the church, Paul summons "elders" (presbuteros) of the church to join him as "overseers" (episkopas) who "shepherd" (poimainos) the church (Acts 20:17-28); the mission of the Faith and Life Team is to provide spiritual vision and guidance to the church. This team provides spiritual leadership and guidance as they work along side the five Leadership Teams in fulfilling the purpose of the Church. This involves teaching, preaching, and caring for those in need. |

The purpose of the equipping hour is to prepare people, through God’s Word, for a life of growth in their relationship to God, to one another, and to the world. The means to fulfill the purpose statement are to help students: - Come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- Understand God’s character and works.
- Learn to love one another and bear one another’s burdens.
- Develop spiritual disciplines necessary for growth.
- Learn skills for handling spiritual warfare.
- Learn to apply one’s faith in every aspect of life which includes:
- Applying principles of spiritual integrity to all areas of life.
- Learning to live as peacemakers in the world.
The Equipping Team is deeply thankful for the dedicated supply of teachers and other servers that the Lord has provided to help equip the worshippers of Memorial Road Mennonite Brethren Church. |
In response to Christ's new commandment, "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35), the mission of the Care Team is to promote a spirit of unity through supportive, caring relationships within the church family.
This team manages and coordinates the care ministry of our church including fellowship meals, small groups, prayer support, mercy ministries, visitation committee, and marriage enrichment. |
